On this tour you will visit one of the top attractions in the country, a window to nature tour: Cerro Verde . Between 3 active volcanoes is located Cerro Verde national park, after arrival, you will walk about 60 min around the rim of an extinct volcano where you will have amazing views of the surroundings Izalco, Santa Ana and Coatepeque lake. After you continue to Coatepeque lake where you will have free time to enjoy lunch, then we continue to Joya de Ceren ( in case the park is not open yet, you will visit San Andres Park ) Nicknamed “The Pompeii of the Americas”, Cerén’s archaeological remains were discovered in 1976 by Payson Sheets, an anthropologist with Colorado University at Boulder.
