During the 80s El Salvador suffered a civil war and east provinces suffered more during those years, for many years Morazan was only visited by soldiers or guerrila forces, many big battles took place in this area.

After the peace agreement almost all the original habitants returned to their lands and now many of them work on tourism and are happy to share their stories to visitors, and this is what makes this tour a unique experience.

Depart San Salvador

5am Depart San salvador to the East of El Salvador. In case you are not staying in a hotel call us to schedule a pick up point.

Jiboa Valley

Enjoy Panoramic view of Jiboa Valley overlooking San Vicente and San Miguel Volcano

El Mozote Memorial

On route visit El Mozote memorial site, a terrible fight took place here and now is a memorial site visited by many people as a place to remeber and learn from the past.

Perkin

Perkin , a small town that was the capital of the guerrilla forces , now figters are tour guides and the comunity has slowly developed
