Program Highlights
Day 1: Arrival in El Salvador Arrive in the vibrant land of El Salvador and transfer to your hotel. Take the day to relax or explore on your own. For early arrivals (between 5 AM and 9 AM), an optional beach day awaits you, where you can enjoy a relaxing morning by the ocean paired with a delicious breakfast for just $30 per person. A refreshing way to begin your adventure!
Day 2: Exploring San Salvador & Boquerón Volcano Begin your journey with a city tour of San Salvador. Visit iconic landmarks such as Plaza Salvador del Mundo, the historic El Rosario Church with its stunning modern architecture, and Monseñor Romero‘s tomb, a place of deep cultural and spiritual significance. Explore the bustling historic center with its vibrant markets and colonial-era buildings.
Later, ascend to the Boquerón Volcano, where you’ll walk along the rim of the volcanic crater. This national park offers a cool climate and breathtaking views of the valley below and the lush landscapes surrounding the San Salvador volcano. Don’t miss the chance to savor local snacks sold by vendors in the area!
Day 3: Choose Your Adventure
- Flowers Route (Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Saturdays): Immerse yourself in the natural beauty and cultural charm of El Salvador’s renowned Flowers Route. Stroll through quaint towns like Ataco and Apaneca, known for their vibrant murals, artisan shops, and lush coffee plantations. Experience local traditions, taste fresh coffee, and admire the stunning mountainous landscapes.
- Archaeological Route (Wednesdays, Fridays, or Sundays): Step back in time and uncover El Salvador’s ancient history. Visit Joya de Cerén, a UNESCO World Heritage Site often called the “Pompeii of the Americas,” where you’ll witness an incredibly well-preserved Mayan village. Explore Tazumal, a grand archaeological site with impressive pyramids, and San Andrés, another fascinating pre-Columbian ceremonial site.
Both routes offer a unique perspective of the country’s heritage and natural beauty.
Day 4: Departure
Breakfast. Room avaliable until 11am.
