Day 1: Tuesday – Arrival in Guatemala Arrive in Guatemala City and enjoy a seamless transfer to your hotel in the charming colonial town of Antigua Guatemala. The rest of the day is yours to relax, unwind, and explore at your leisure.

Day 2: Wednesday – Antigua Guatemala Start your day with breakfast and embark on a free exploration of Antigua Guatemala, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famed for its exquisite colonial architecture. Discover landmarks like the Capuchin Convent, the cathedral, bustling local markets, and other attractions. For an enriching experience, you can also request a guided tour.

Day 3: Thursday – Antigua Guatemala After breakfast, continue to immerse yourself in the beauty of this historic city at your own pace. For those seeking extra adventure, take advantage of optional excursions: visit the vibrant Chichicastenango market (available on Thursdays and Sundays) or hike the breathtaking Pacaya Volcano (available on other days).

Day 4: Friday – Antigua to Santa Ana Rise early for a 4:30 AM transfer to the bus terminal for El Salvador. Upon arriving in Santa Ana at 10:30 AM, your guide will greet you for a panoramic tour of the second-largest city in El Salvador. After lunch (not included), delve into history by exploring the captivating Mayan ruins of Tazumal and Casablanca, as well as the quaint town of Chalchuapa. Conclude the day by heading to the picturesque town of Ataco.

Day 5: Saturday – Ataco
Begin your day with a visit to El Carmen, a historic coffee farm, where you’ll discover the fascinating process of coffee production. Later, explore the intricate labyrinth at Albania Park. For thrill-seekers, unique attractions such as the Air Bicycle and Rainbow Slide offer exciting experiences. Spend the afternoon at your leisure, exploring the charming town of Ataco. For a relaxing option, consider an optional visit to the nearby hot springs.

Day 6: Sunday – Cerro Verde
After breakfast, journey to the western region of El Salvador to discover the breathtaking Cerro Verde National Park, nestled between the Izalco and Santa Ana volcanoes. Take a scenic walk around the crater of the extinct Cerro Verde volcano, where you’ll be treated to panoramic views of the valleys and volcanoes. Enjoy lunch at your own expense. In the afternoon, visit Joya de Cerén, a remarkably preserved ancient Maya village buried under volcanic ash for centuries and unearthed in 1977. Arrive in San Salvador by late afternoon for your overnight stay.

Day 7: Monday – San Salvador
Begin the day with a guided city tour, exploring highlights like the residential areas of Santa Elena, Plaza Salvador del Mundo, and the detailed relief map. Stroll through the revitalized historic center, visiting landmarks such as El Rosario Church, Monseñor Romero’s Tomb, and the Government Zone. Enjoy lunch on your own. In the afternoon, head to Boquerón Park, perched atop the San Salvador volcano, to take in spectacular views of the city. Return to your hotel in San Salvador to relax for the evening.

Day 8: Tuesday – San Salvador and Departure
