Note: This is a semi-independent program. Transfers between countries are NOT guided and use regular first-class bus transportation.
Itinerary:
Wednesday: Guatemala City – Antigua Guatemala
Airport reception and transfer to Antigua Guatemala. Begin the unforgettable Guatemala tour.
Thursday: Antigua Guatemala – Chichicastenango and Lake Atitlán – Guatemala City
American breakfast. Passengers board the bus at the hotel at the specified time to be transferred to Chichicastenango. Visit Santo Tomas Church and the famous open-air market with various crafts, pottery, and textiles.
Later, transfer to Panajachel, a town on the shores of majestic Lake Atitlán. Stroll along the main street of Panajachel. Lunchtime (lunch not included). In the afternoon, transfer back to Guatemala City to the hotel.
Friday: Antigua Guatemala
American breakfast. Passengers board the bus at their hotel at the specified time. Explore the Main Plaza, Jade Factory, and churches such as La Merced, the Cathedral, and San Francisco. In the afternoon, visit Ciudad Vieja, where the second capital of the Kingdom of Guatemala was founded, along with San Antonio Aguas Calientes and San Felipe de Jesús. Transfer to the hotel (lunch not included).
Saturday: Guatemala – Santa Ana, El Salvador
American breakfast. At 6:30 am, transfer to the bus station near your hotel to take the bus to Santa Ana, El Salvador. Arrival around 11 am, followed by a transfer to your hotel. Free time for lunch, then visit the city theater and the Tazumal Mayan ruins, Casa Blanca, and the town of Chalchuapa. Return to your hotel in Santa Ana.
Sunday: Ruta de las Flores
Morning visit to the towns of Juayua and Salcoatitán, followed by Ataco. Explore the coffee processing center at El Carmen and end the day with a relaxing dip in the hot springs. Accommodation in Santa Ana.
Monday: Santa Ana – San Salvador
Departure at 8:30 am to San Salvador. Begin the city tour with a visit to Parque Nacional Boquerón, situated on the high part of the San Salvador volcano. See the crater from the last eruption and enjoy valley views. Continue the tour in San Salvador, including Santa Elena, Plaza Salvador del Mundo, El Castillo Venturoso, a walking tour of the historic center (with El Rosario Church and the National Palace), and free time for lunch. Explore government areas, residential zones, and the Zona Rosa. End the day at your hotel in San Salvador.
Tuesday: San Salvador – Managua
Midnight transfer to the bus station to take transportation at 1 am to Nicaragua. The bus has air conditioning, onboard service, and refreshments. Arrival in Managua around 3 pm. Begin the “Agradable Nicaragua” tour with a panoramic visit to the city, ending in Managua.
Wednesday: Granada, Lake Nicaragua, and Chocolate Tour
Breakfast at the hotel. At 8:30 am, discover Granada, the most beautiful, captivating, and photogenic Spanish colonial city. Visit Doña Elba Cigars, founded by the first cigar master in Granada, Sr. Silvio Reyes, since 1991. Take a boat trip through the lush and romantic volcanic islets of Lake Nicaragua. Lunch not included. Later in the afternoon, enjoy the Bate Bate Chocolate Tour: learn about and make chocolate.
Day 9 – Thursday: Laguna de Apoyo and Volcán Masaya Night Tour
Breakfast at the hotel at 8:30 am. Escape the city and enjoy a beautiful day at the freshwater crater lake of Laguna de Apoyo, one of the most unique and tranquil swimming spots you’ll ever experience. Our Day Pass includes entry, kayak and paddleboard use, floaties, life jackets, ping pong table access, hammocks, beach chairs, and Wi-Fi. Bar and restaurant services are available on-site. Lunch not included.
At 5:00 pm, explore one of the world’s most active volcanoes, the “Parque Nacional Volcán Masaya.” Discover the active lava lake in the Santiago crater—one of the planet’s eight lava lakes. Accommodation at Hotel Patio del Malinche in Granada.
Day 10 – Friday: Granada to San Jose, Costa Rica
Breakfast at the hotel. At 6:30 am, transfer to the bus station to take your transportation to San Jose. Departure from Managua at 9 am, arriving around 6 pm. Transfer to your hotel.
Day 11 – Saturday: Costa Rica
Explore the La Paz Waterfall Gardens and Orosi—a beautiful area north of the capital with abundant nature and scenic views. Return to your hotel in the evening.
Day 12 – Sunday: Costa Rica
Visit Manuel Antonio National Park, where you can observe sloths in their natural habitat and playful white-faced monkeys. Enjoy free time for a swim in the ocean. Return to your hotel in the evening.
Day 13 – Monday: Costa Rica to Panama – Evening Dinner Show
Breakfast. Midday transfer to the airport for your flight to Panama. You’ll be received by a representative and transferred to the Ramada Punta Pacifica Hotel or a similar one. In the afternoon, enjoy a folkloric dance show and typical dinner. Return transfer to your hotel.
Day 14 – Tuesday: Full-Day Panoramic Tour in Panama (Canal, Ruins, and Colonial City)
We’ll start in the past: Visit the Monumental Complex of Panama Viejo to learn about its exciting history, beginning with its foundation in 1519. It gained fame as a transit route between the Atlantic and Pacific, as well as a center for expeditions to North, Central, and South America. The story continues with the famous English pirate Henry Morgan’s attack.
Next, we’ll leap into the present and future by exploring the Modern City and the Cinta Costera before immersing ourselves in the Casco Antiguo, the colonial origin of the city.

Breakfast. The hotel is available until noon. OPTIONAL: If your flight departs in the afternoon, consider visiting an indigenous village of the Emberá community from the Pacific islands of Panama. It’s a beautiful experience to learn about their native culture. The excursion lasts approximately 4 hours, and your flight should depart after 4 pm. Price per person: $17712.
